The newspaper "Ethnikos Synagermos" is published on June 2, 1952
On June 2, 1952, the weekly independent newspaper of the Prefecture of Serres, entitled "National Alert", appeared. This newspaper was an important addition to the local press, with Yiannis Ep. Gritzalis as owner and director.
The first sheet of the newspaper was a four-page spread, while the following were published in two-page spreads, with each page measuring 40x58 centimeters. The price of each sheet was set at 1000 drachmas, a price that reflected the era.
The printing of the newspaper took place at the printing press of Efstratios Charalambidis, which was located in the Municipal Gallery. The newspaper's offices were located inside the travel agency of its owner, at Vasileos Alexandrou street number 3, which indicates the versatility and entrepreneurship of Gritzalis.
The publication of "National Alert" contributed to the information and up-to-date of the residents of the Prefecture of Serres, presenting local issues and news with an independent and unbiased view, as was the goal of its owner and director.
